Front-End Developer
We are looking for a standout front-end developer to take our ticketing products to the next level. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a strong passion for technology. Our company is growing fast and we need a front-end master who looks forward to challenging tasks and thinking creatively. If having fun and dabbling in new technologies is your thing read on.
Required Skills
- 3+ years experience developing consumer-facing sites built with Ruby
- Minimum 2 year track record of successful large-scale web application development
- Advanced in the use of Javascript, experience with popular frameworks (such as jQuery)
- Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Ajax
- Some backend work using RoR or Sinatra
- Experience collaborating on a team with experienced back-end developers
- Disciplined approach to software development, test driven development, and agile methodology
- Worked on a high-traffic website, general optimization and scalability skills
A Definite Plus
- Excellent design skills
- Experience developing web applications using Facebook Graph API, OAuth or Twitter's API
- Mobile app development experience

Marketing Intern
As an intern at TicketDerby, you can expect to "Work Hard, and Play Hard!" The ideal candidate is creative and forward thinking when it comes to developing and executing marketing plans. Being an Internet start up company, a love for technology and new media is a huge plus requirement!
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop and pitch marketing campaigns
- Assist Director of Marketing with execution and reporting
- Engage clients and manage social media networks
- Create content for blog, newsletter, etc
- Bring fresh ideas to the table!

- Currently enrolled in a Marketing / Advertising / Communications focus or other relevant area of study
