The Racquet Club Estates 9th Annual Home Tour and Reception will showcase the midcentury modern beauty of six unique Alexander homes built in the late 1950s and early 1960s, as well as a midcentury modern fire station, located within Racquet Club Estates. There will also be a collection of classic cars parked at each home and a catered reception with a celebrity guest speaker following the tour.
The tour will include homes built by the Alexander Construction Company, and designed by respected architect William Krisel, which exemplify the midcentury modern vernacular found in the soaring wafer-thin rooflines, clerestory windows, and open floor plans. Enjoy street views of the seven historic Alexander Steel Houses designed in 1961 by respected architect Donald Wexler. These homes epitomize the midcentury modern era, made with innovative construction material and method of assembly. Also included on the tour is an exclusive look inside the 1961 Fire Station No. 3, designed by Kaptur & Ricciardo.
Check in starts at 9 a.m. at the Vista Del Monte Elementary School auditorium located at 2744 North Via Miraleste. The homes and fire station are open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., followed by a catered reception and celebrity guest speaker from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Proceeds from our home tours are used for projects benefiting our neighborhood and the Palm Springs community at large.
