Author and historian Steven M. Price takes a look at the history and accomplishments of famed builder and developer Paul Whitney Trousdale. From his post-war housing developments, which created thousands of new Californian households, to his landmark retail and commercial innovations throughout the American West (including Hawaii), the Trousdale name became synonymous with ambition and quality, culminating in his crowning achievement, the 410-acre haven of Midcentury Marvelous known as Trousdale Estates, in Beverly Hills. For this special presentation, enhanced coverage of Trousdales Palm Springs-area communities will be presented.

This experience will take place in Walt Disney Hall, adjacent to the beautiful pool and the Ranch House, the very center of Smoke Tree Ranch life. This is a rare chance to personally experience the beauty and solitude of this very private enclave where Paul Trousdale maintained a home in the 1940s.

Arrive to a beautiful pool setting and enjoy a full bar and delicious hors doeuvres created by the Ranch chefs. As twilight falls, guests will be ushered into Disney Hall for the presentation.

Mr. Price will be signing copies of his beautiful newly published coffee table book, Trousdale Estates: Mid-Century to Modern in Beverly Hills (Regan Arts, an imprint of Phaeton Press).

21 and older, please. Check-in will be at the Smoke Tree Ranch guard gate. IMPORTANT NOTICE: as this is a gated private community, early arrivals are not allowed. Kindly check in at the security no earlier than 4:45 p.m. Upon check-in, you will be directed to the pool and the Ranch House. Wheelchair accessible. No smoking allowed inside Disney Hall.
