Its MOD meets WEST when Charlie Faye and the Fayettes play their smart, 60s-inspired soul-pop sounds at the historic Los Compadres Riding Stables Clubhouse in Palm Springs.
Texas-based front woman, Charlie Faye, with two back-up singers, play original music inspired by retro-soul-pop of the 1960s era. Musically, the songs of the bands recently released (June 2016) self-titled album reflect the ability of 60s music to be a little bit of everything, Pop with touches of Torch songs, Country, and Rockn Roll. The sound is comparable to the eras hit artists such as Dusty Springfield with bright girl-group harmonies and contemporary story lines. Its danceable, listenable and enjoyable.
Before Modernism Week there was Western Week. Party like its 1965 when Palm Springs was home to Hollywood celebrities outfitted in western wear, cowboy hats and boots.
