Todays Hollywood hipsters (Cameron Diaz, Robert Downey Jr., and Reese Witherspoon, among others) continue to use this neighborhoods boutique hotels as their private sanctuaries. See the Sidewalk Stars of Palm Springs most renowned Midcentury Modern architects and get an inside look at how Modernism took center stage in this celebrity haven. See close-up the inns and resorts that were, and remain today, hideaways for the Stars. Many were designed and built after WWII when Americas appetite for Modern design was the rage. It was The Atomic Age and Palm Springs captured the futuristic mood like no other place on earth.
