If you would like to donate to the Wounded Warriors Homes you may do so directly on this page.The Mission Valley Craft Beer and Food Festival is proud to announce a unique Craft Beer and Food Event to support the Wounded Warrior Homes.
Wounded Warrior Homes is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization that serves medically discharged, single men and women of our armed forces with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Our mission is to provide affordable housing, hands-on resources, and a defined path for each member to transition from active-duty military service to independent living as a veteran of foreign wars.
While most “beer events” offer food, MVCBF events elevate the food to an equal billing. For our “Night Under the Stars”, our chefs and brewers are paired by a random drawing. This keeps the chefs ideas fresh and helps us avoid phrases like “the usual stuff” and “like always”. It offers you food pairings designed specifically for that particular style of beer and it raises the quality of both.
Come for the beer; stay for the food. Come for the food; stay for the beer. Either way, you really need to be here.
We will kick off the third annual San Diego Beer Week with five local breweries and six local chefs pairing their creations in our garden.
On Sept 27 we drew chefs and breweries from a hat to determine the pairings! They are:
Stone Brewing Co & Eron Baker, Corporate Chef, Baker Shake Foods
Green Flash Brewing Co. & Hanis Cavin, Carnitas Snack Shack
Airdale Brewing Co. & Matt Morrison, Executive Sous Chef, Handlery Hotel & Resort
Mission Brewery & Karl Prohaska, Executive Chef, Handlery Hotel & Resort
Manzanita Brewing Co. & Chuck Samuelson, Stone Brewing Catering
Ballast Point Brewing Co. & Evan Bennett, Saiko Sushi
Misty Birchall, Owner, PubCakes, will be topping off the night with delicious baked goods prepared with our brewers' fine beverages
Your ticket will provide unlimited food and beer tastings throughout the event. The event will be limited to 200 attendees, age 21 and up only.
Jesse LaMonaca & the Dime Novels will be playing at the event as well!
