Event Starts: Sat , Feb 24, 2018
The residents of Sunmor Estates welcome you to step back in time to a remarkably intact collection of midcentury modern homes constructed in the late '50s and early 60s. The Sunmor neighborhood is a unique showcase of homes constructed by four iconic modern-era builders: Alexander Construction Company, Robert Higgins, Jack Meiselman, and a few rare one-of-a-kinds by Smith & Rapport. Sunmor is the site of the old Palm Springs Airport and Army Air Field where you can still see tie down pads used to anchor military planes during World War ll.
Several home interiors and landscapes will be featured on this walking tour. More information about Sunmor Neighborhood can be found at www.sunmorestates.com
Proceeds from this tour will benefit the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, the Neuro Vitality Center, and Well in the Desert. Other proceeds go to neighborhood quality of life improvements.
