In honor of Women's History month, Historic Sotterley presents, The Women of Sotterley. This 90 minute tour will look behind the eyes of the women who nurtured our American Culture, from Rebecca Bowles, the matriarch of the Bowles and Plater families, to the often overlooked, Emeline W. Briscoe, and women like Grace Munroe and Alice Cane, enslaved servants of the household who sought freedom, as well as the women of the 20th century. No bystanders here, as women were full participants in our American story. Walking required.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time and proceed directly to the Visitor Center to check in. Once you have checked in, please stay in the general area. The tour can not be made up if you are late.
